Destination Mt. Hood
The Eesa RVQ ventured all the way from the East Coast to the West Coast by the time they picked me up in South Lake Tahoe, CA. Starting out in Vermont, the tour stopped at such destinations as Montreal, Toronto, Detroit, Chicago, and Salt Lake City, apparently partying the entire way.
The first stop of our tour wasn’t the scheduled BBQ; it was Dart Discount Liquor in Stateline, Nevada right outside of South Lake. Picking up a 30 pack, some Brute champagne and some chips was enough to suffice for the BBQ in Tahoe City. 2:00pm comes around as we roll into Commons Beach in Tahoe City, as the full family scene takes place around us, we park mid-lot in the 30ft RV, fire up the coals on the barbie, pop the champagne, and start cooking.
Eesa tour members, Alex, Justin, Agatha, and Travis, chillin’ on North Lake.
Already breaking 90% of the rules on posted signs, we are immediately approached by concerned family members about open containers, open “bonfires” (bbq), skateboarding and the resident pitpull, Bakodi, so we had to move down the lot. Only a few people showed for the un-advertised event, Brent, friend of tour member Travis, and another, well, I’ll just name him the “North Lake Kookler,” talking of his riding level being so gnarly, that his sponsors had to drop him. After a skate session in the parking lot, we took off—destination, Mt. Hood.
Road soda anyone? Passing the brass monkey.
The trek across northern California was a hot one; 90+ degrees, no a/c, and hot wind blowing through the windows. Full of beer, champagne, and some .59 cent hot dogs, we drove through the night.
Bakodi joined in on the booze cruise.
Sunset well worth the heat!
Meth’d out gas station attendants, 6am Salem, Oregon.
Next update we’ll be getting our shred on in Hood, check back soon!
