what kind of board do you guys remcommand? iam looking for new, but cheap(older model is fine too).

They are have a softer flex and lots of sidecut which makes them easier to turn and they're more forgiving. Most brands will have something that will work for you. Are there any certain brands you like or a price range you want to stay in?

If its a good shop they will ask you about your skill level, price range, shoe size, etc. and suggest a couple of boards that fit your needs. Just remember to ask a lot of questions, and to have fun while you're there. if you feel pressured to buy something, the place is lame.

They will stoke you out much more than we can on the forum, and its good for both you and the shop. you get a board that is the best fit for you, and if they do their job, they have a new customer thats stoked on their shop.

You may find a guy that needs to upgrade because he was in the same spot you were the year before. The Sac State Swap I know has people that are there to help you get what you need. It has a vibe alot like a shop and no pressure at all.
