First, I think this topic is awesome for a paper. Hopefully your teacher(s) will agree.
As for the hieghts it is hard to say...I remember in the X games they always have the height meter, so did the Honda tour last year. 22 ft was standard for skiers at the Honda stop at Squaw (it was amazing).
Always address the opposite as you feel. I would be the first to want all these athletes in the Olympics because it is still recognized as the greatest exhibition of sport. However, the dominance is controlled worldwide by a total of 20 persons, + or -. The field is relatively narrow(winter is always a narrow field compared to summer games).
As I said before I may not be answering your question; and I do fully support giving athletes a chanceto prove their worth in the oplympics. To see Shaun White stand atop a podium is a dream that most kids dream of at least once. Tanner, Dumont, all of them should have the chance to fulfill that dream.
The devils advocate always makes you fight that much harder for what you feel is right. Think snow.
EXPN.com for winter X results. The gallery on thesnowlife.com has Honda tour stop from last year at Squaw.
