Wide skis carve descent? - 2006/12/21 22:17 Will a wider set of skis be that much harder to carve? I'm guessing slower edge to edge.

Re:Wide skis carve descent? - 2006/12/24 18:43 ya pretty much it's harder to get on edge. IT depends on the ski what ski what ski are you looking at? "killing under the cloak of war is no different than murder" Einstein

Re:Wide skis carve descent? - 2006/12/25 17:10 I have a pair of skis that are 60mm under foot and a pair that is 85mm undrfot both carve almost equally. once you get in to wider stuff like 90's and 100's then the edge to edge slows down. but if you have a ski that wide why would you be carving on it?

Re:Wide skis carve descent? - 2006/12/26 15:34 I only ski Scratch BC's and Dynastar Big Troubles. Both carve great. The radius is a big big but so am I. I did recently jump on a pair of Atomic SX 11 and the non twin tip and stiff board allowed for great turn release and initiation.

I want to go bigger. Atomic thugs or some Prohet 130's just for the stupid deep days.
